The Community Outreach committee works with local St. Louis organizations including Hazelwood West High School, Carnahan STEAM Middle School, Soldan International Studies High School and the St. Louis Children's Hospital to put on science demos and hands-on activities with the goal of making STEM accessible, engaging, and fun!

HMChO Virtual Chemistry Competition

A group of Harvard and MIT students have written a virtual Chemistry Olympiad Competition that will be run on February 21st, 2026. It will be in the format of the US National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO), running a Part I and Part II exam. Knowing that the US Chemistry Olympiad is coming up in April, this competition provides students from across the country with the opportunity to practice their chemistry skills and compete before the national exam in April!
